Pada Puja of Poojya Guruji at Pune

As a last program of any Sadhana Camp, a Pada Puja of Poojya Guruji is organized. One couple is choosen to represent all the sadhakas. This time it was Sh & Smt Manoharlal Agarwal of Mumbai.

Later all the participants narrated their experiences of the Camp, and it was a great joy to see the profound effect of Drg-Dryshya Viveka on everyone.

Rudrabhisheka at Siddheshwar Mahadev Temple

While at Punyadham Ashram, Poojya Guruji organized a grand Rudrabhisheka at the Siddheshwar Mahadev temple in the ashram complex. All the camp sadhakas sat around the giant Shiv Linga and Poojya Guruji guided everyone to do the grand ritual, which lasted for around 2 hours. Poojya Swamini Amitanandaji drew a beautiful Third Eye as a special decoration of Lord Shiva.

Camp Fire and Cultural Program

On 26th Jan night we had another memorable program in the form of Camp Fire. The weather was just right for such a program. In the north there was a cold wave going on, and Pune too had its bit of chill. Everything was perfect. The arrangements for the camp-fire too were great. Thanks to the Ashram Administrator Gen BN Rao. There were snacks & soup going around, the fire was kept alight nicely, and we all sat around enjoying the evening.

After few solo songs, patriotic and a Bhajan Qawali prepared specially for the evening, there was a great program of Bhajan Antakshari, between Har & Hari teams. It was a draw match. In the end there was Garba dance.

Punyadham - Republic Day Celebration

During this camp, on 26th Jan morning, the Republic Day was celebrated in style. Poojya Guruji hoisted the flag and also gave an inspiring talk, that we need to work to fulfill the dreams of our forefathers who worked to help get us a free country. Let us make a society which becomes a role model for the world to follow. Mata Krishna Kashyap the chairperson of the VJM Trust presided.

The Siddheswar Shikhar at Punyadham Ashram, is the picturization of Kailash Parvat with Shiv Parivar sitting on it. The statues, mountain, waterfall, fountains, lights, plantation etc have been done very tastefully. It is worth a visit alongwith ones family & friends.

Roses of Punyadham Ashram

Camp at Punyadham Ashram, Pune

A Sadhana Camp was organized at Punyadham Ashram, Pune from 23rd to 27th Jan 2008. Poojya Guruji and Swamini Amitanandaji reached Pune on 22nd Jan evening alongwith a group of around 25 sadhakas.

Punyadham Ashram is a 10 acres setup, with nicely laid out infrastructure & gardens. It has a Convention Hall, a Shiv Temple, well-equipped rooms, dining etc. The setup is managed by a group of devoted people, most of them are retired army officers, so the cleanliness, punctuality & discipline of the setup is very good. Maj Gen BN Rao is the Chief Administrator, and he is indeed a gem of a person.

From 23rd morning we started with the Meditation session, followed by the Drg-Dryshya Viveka by Poojya Guruji.

Gita Gyana Yagna at Ahmedabad

A Gita Gyana Yagna by Poojya Swamini Amitanandaji started at Sri Ramkrishna Kendra, Maninagar, Ahmedabad today on 6th Jan 2008. The subject matter of the discourse series are: Gita Chapter 8 and Mandukya Upanishad.

P.Guruji at KC Mahayagna Conclusion

A big, first-ever Koti Chandi Mahayagna was organized at Dashera Maidan in Indore. Poojya Swami Dayanandaji came to Indore to participate on the occasion. Poojya Guruji was also on the dias on this big event which was being telecasted all over.

Visit of Swami Dayanandaji to Ashram

The inmates of the Vedanta Ashram were extremely blessed when Param Poojya Swami Dayanandaji accepted our invitation to visit the ashram. On 5th Jan around 12, Poojya Swamiji alongwith three other Swamiji's visited the ashram. Swami Dayanandaji is one of the foremost teachers of Vedanta in the world today, and what is being taught by mahatmas at Vedanta Ashram is also directly or indirectly connected with him. This was the second visit of Poojya Swamiji to the Vedanta Ashram.

Visit of Sw Paramatmaji to Ashram

Poojya Swami Paramatamanandaji, Swami Sakshatkrutanandaji and Swami Aishwaryanandaji visited Vedanta Ashram on 4th Jan. The first two studied with Poojya Guruji at Sandeepany Ashram, Mumbai in 1980-83.

Visit to Sandeepany Ashram, Ujjain

While at Ujjain, we visited the ancient ashram of Rishi Sandeepany. It was here that Lord Krishna studied. A small memorial stands there, even though we wish a better memorial is made there which gives out the message of the Gitaharya to one & all effectively.

In the same premises is one of the 84 very ancient Mahadev temple, all of which are visited by devotees every Sravana month as a parikrama.

Lithotripsy of Poojya Guruji

A stone was detected in the left kidney of Poojya Guruji, and doctors advised Lithotripsy to get it crushed. This is a ultrasound wave based non-intrusive system of treatment in which high frequency ultrasound waves are focussed on the stone and hit with increasing speed & frequency, this breaks the stone down, and the sludge subsequently is passed through the urine. The stone was 14 mm in size and it took around 45 mins to break it down. It is a very convenient out-patient operation. This was got it done at Ujjain under the supervision of Dr Paras Srimal, a Urologist.

New Year Celebration

We are indeed Utsav-priya. Devotees of Vedanta Ashram got together on the eve of 31st Dec 2007 to celebrate the advent of New Year. It was decided that the devotees alone will get one dish each from their homes and everyone will sit and have bhajans etc and pray for the well-being of one & all in this coming year.

As such appropriate decorations were made and devotees gathered in the ashram in the night. There was chanting of shlokas, hanuman chalisa, a dance by Anagh and then there was a bhajan antakshari. Later there was blessings & the new year message by Poojya Guruji to all.

Poojya Guruji said that a karma is only after a sankalpa, one needs to be very clear of the goal and then put sincere efforts, then alone karma is said to have been done. He said in this new year everyone should take a sankalpa of trying to sincerely live the meaning of the famous shanti mantra Bhadram Karnebhih. Let us insisit on seeing only the good & positive and forget the bad. Like a gardener help bring out the flower of goodness. He said that this alone was the message of the story of the three monkeys associated with Gandhiji.
