Conducted Vedantic Meditations

While meditation has become very well-known nowadays, the understanding about meditation varies profoundly. Means obviously differ as per the understanding of the nature of problem. Advaita Vedanta says that the human problem is only because of ignorance of truth of ourself alone, thus the solution is knowledge alone. We basically need to know something rather than to do something. Doing implies change, while knowing doesn't require any change, thus the system of meditation in Vedanta differs from other systems.

At Vedanta Ashram, Poojya Guruji Sri Swami Atmanandaji is conducting Meditation for the inmates of the ashram. These hindi language guided meditations started on 24th June 2009, and the duration of each session varies from 45 to 60 mins. To make the best use of these guided meditations, one just has to sit down quietly and comfortably and listen to these sessions.

We shall be posting the links of each days meditation on the net. People who have some background of Vedanta can either download these files, hear online in the embedded mp3 player, or stream play by downloading the small m3u playlist file.

Day-1 : On the first day Poojya Guruji told about the uniqueness of Vedantic Meditation. Such meditation is all about making our Paroksha Gyana into Aparoksha Gyana. Seeing directly what we have heard and read.
