During the recently concluded Sadhana Camp at Vedanta Ashram, every evening we had some light entertaining programs like bhajans, jokes etc. Here are two playlists of the audio clips of some bhajans and jokes.

Narmada Snana on Somvati Amavasya

On 26th Jan also happened to be the Somvati Amavasya, a day considered very auspicious for taking a dip in the rivers, thus expressing our gratitude to the eternal source of life and welfare. The campers of the ongoing Sadhana Camp along with Ashram Mahatmas hired a bus and went over to Kheri Ghat, which is about 60 Kms from Indore. This is the nearest point from the city of Indore and the Narmada River, and has nice but small ghats. The journey was full of fun - bhajans, songs etc. 

Due to the special festive occasion there was a huge rush on that day for bath in the river, and thus the ghats were very conjusted and even dirty. We therefore took a boat and went to a small island in the middle of river, where we got very clean waters and clean place to sit and offer our prayers. Everyone had a great time.

Sadhana Camp Album

A very satisfactory Sadhana Camp was organized at Vedanta Ashram, Indore from 24th to 28th Jan 2009. The subject matter of the discourses during the camp were: Isavasya Upanishad and Gita Chapter 16. Here are some of its pics.

Swami Dayanandaji visits Vedanta Ashram

Param Poojya Swami Dayanandaji visited Vedanta Ashram to bless the campers on 25th Jan. We got a very short notice of his visit and quickly readied ourselves for his visit.
