Trip to Scotland

Siddartha Arora, a student from Indore at Oxford University, planned a short & sudden site-seeing trip to Scotland for Poojya Guruji and P. Swamini Samatanandaji on the 25th & 26th May.

The trio left took a flight for Edinburgh from Luton on 25th morning and arrived at Edinburgh by 8.30AM. They went around the old & famous castle there, and strolled around till the afternoon, when they got a bus for Inverness. The bus ride was beautiful and took five hours to take them to the highlands. The stay was at Bazpackers Hostel, which was very nicely located just in front of the castle and side of the river Ness. They spent the night there, saw the city and got a feel of the quiet place and its hospitable people. They returned back to Luton by a direct flight from Inverness to Luton on 26th evening and were received at the 'London Luton Airport' by Hina Patel.

Puja at Hina's

On 23rd May a grand puja was organized at the residence of Hina Patel. A special jhanki of Ganga Avatarana was made. Ganga Dasshera is just round the corner, when Gangaji came down on the earth, recieved by Lord Shiva. The puja was done by both Hina Patel and Siddartha Arora, who had come over from Oxford for the day. Later there was Bhojan, prepared lovongly by Hina's mother and Vimalaben from Wellingboro.

Satsangs at Loughborough and Bradford

On 17th May, Poojya Guruji and Swamini Samatanandaji went to Gita Bhawan, Loughborough, and later to the Sri Laxmi Narayan Mandir, Bradford for conducting Satsangs. The talks at both the places were highly appreciated, and plans are afoot to have a longer program at Bradford.

Visit to Oxford

On 13th May, Poojya Guruji and Sw.Samatanandaji visited Oxford. They went to meet Siddartha Arora. They went around his college, some university offices and then spent most of the time in their lovely garden, and also did some boating and punting. Satsang at Reading Hindu Temple

A Satsang of Poojya Guruji was organized at the Reading Hindu Temple on 12th May at 7.30 in the evening. Poojya Swamini Samatanandaji introduced Poojya Guruji to the audience. There were large number of audience who listened with devotion to Poojya Guruji. Later the Chairman Dr. Ashok Khare thanked the Mahatmas on behalf of the Mandir.

Satsang at Manuben's

A 'Bhajan & Bhojan' program was organized at the residence of Harishbhai & Manuben at Wellingboro on the 5th of May. Poojya Guruji talked about the importance & blessing of a Guru in one's life.

Satsang at Birmingham

A satsang was organized at the residence of Hemaben, younger sister of Vimalaben, at Birmingham on 4th May afternoon. Poojya Guruji talked on a verse from Hanuman Chalisa.

Later Shanta Mangat, who had met Poojya Guruji in Mumbai earlier came to meet Poojya Guruji and they all went to her house too for tea.

DDV Class & Birthday of Avanish

While at Wellingboro, Poojya Guruji also started one special class for select devotees on Drg-Dryshya Viveka. This special session is being conducted at residence of Harishbhai Thakrar from morning 9 to 10.

On 4th May was also the birthday of Avanish, the younger son of Harishbhai & Kirtiben. Poojya Guruji and Swamini Samatanandaji blessed him and then a cake too was cut.

GGY at Wellingboro

A Gita Gyana Yagna at the Hindu Temple at Wellingboro by Poojya Guruji was conducted from 3rd to 9th May 2009. The talks were on Gita Chapter 17, and the language was mainly hindi, but with occasional explanations of points in english too. The response was overwhelming, and the devotees good of the talks. The earlier trips of P.Swamini Samatanandaji had created a good base & devotion in he people here. Some people called the program as a 'Miracle at the Mandir', they obviously heard Gita from someone like Poojya Guruji for the first time. After the Gyana Yagna, next day an elaborate Vishnu Sahasranama Archana was organized at the temple followed by a grand Bhandara organized by the devotees.

The President of the Mandir Committee welcomed and later profusely thanked Poojya Guruji and P.Swamini Samatanandaji for all the amrutvarsha and requested for more such programs whenever possible.

Trip to Dunstable Downs

Early morning Hina took Poojya Guruji and Swamini Samatanandaji to the Downs near Dunstable. We took our breakfast with us there, and it there on the lawns and then had a nice walk around.

Satsang at Vimalaben's

On 3rd May 2009 Poojya Guruji and P.Swamini Samatanandaji went to the house of Vimalaben at Wellingboro. Her husband died a month back with to a massive heart attack, so a satsang program was held in memorium. Poojya Guruji talked about Lessons about Death, and there was a minute of silence, apart from prayers, aarti and bhajans.
